Bios

KRS Edstrom is the founder of the Student Stress & Anger Management Program. KRS is an author, syndicated advice columnist and lecturer who, as a stress and wellness expert, has appeared as an on-air guest on CNN and ABC TV. She has appeared in USA Today, Los Angeles Times, Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune, New York Post, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Magazine, First for Women, Elle and Entrepreneur. Airlines such as United Airlines have featured Edstrom’s programs as special in-flight de-stressing relaxation channels.

Edstrom’s book and audio titles include Healthy, Wealthy & Wise, Conquer Stress, Sleep Through Insomnia, Defeat Pain, Fly Without Fear and Relax Mind & Body.

Edstrom authored a study of America’s top CEOs, highlighted in her book Healthy, Wealthy & Wise, which shed new light on the connection between health habits and levels of physical and mental health, while demonstrating a significant relationship between health and success.

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has implemented Edstrom’s products in their Preventive and Rehabilitative Cardiac Center. Other hospitals, psychologists and practitioners also endorse Edstrom’s work.

Edstrom holds a master’s degree in Health Science and has studied academic and alternative methods of mental and physical health for over 30 years. Her personal experience and education are a powerful combination for educating and motivating others.

Advisory Board:

David Tokofsky served on the Los Angeles Unified School District’s Board of Education from 1995 to 2007. David is chairperson of the Committee of the Whole of the Board of Education, the Ad Hoc Committee on After School Program, and the Ad Hoc Committee on Parent Community Advisory Councils. In addition, he is a member of the Curriculum & Instruction Committee, the Human Resources Committee, and the School Safety, Health and Human Services committee.

Dorothy Padilla began her career in the Los Angeles Unified School District in 1975. The educational and administrative work she performed in addition to her co-development of Beyond the Bell Branch ensured thousands of students in the LAUSD successful programs every day before, during, and after school.  She obtained her Bachelor and Masters degrees from Immaculate Heart College where she developed her philosophy and commitment of leadership for educational change in a global world.

Richard Lieberman, MA, LEP, NCSP currently coordinates the Suicide Prevention Unit for Los Angeles Unified School District.  Mr. Lieberman is co-author of School Crisis Prevention and Intervention: the PREPaRE Model. He has co-written and appeared in numerous violence and suicide prevention videos including an HBO documentary and serves on national crisis teams, sent on behalf of the US Department of Education, to assist many communities in the aftermath of youth suicide clusters and school violence.
