Student WB21 reported that after 3 sessions her allergies had subsided and she no longer needed to take her “expensive medicine.” She said that her mother also has allergies and wanted to learn the stress management skills so she could go off her medication as well. This same student also reported that she fights with her sister only half as frequently as before learning the techniques. Student Interview:
Student VD7 reported during the 7th stress management session that he now longer gets headaches. Prior to learning relaxation techniques he had headaches almost daily (as does his mother). When asked in the last (8th) week of class if he had had any more headaches he said that he had had only one headache and that it went away when he used his new stress management skills. This same student reported that he used the skills to relax after he awoke from a nightmare.

Student BPELM reported that his back pain is better in and out of the classroom. He uses his new skills when he gets angry at teachers and wants to talk back. Math grades from F’s to C’s.

Student BSBMS is able to apply his skills to help him get to sleep when his room is too hot. He also reported that he gets less nervous when taking Math and Science tests.
